My first full week back following a week away and it feels as though I’ve hardly paused for breath!
What with working on my daily emails and welcoming all my new Inbox Rockstar members, the time has flown since Monday morning!
Next week looks like another hectic one but find me another Internet Marketer who would have it any other way…
Go on, try…
You won’t!
If you’ve been as busy as me, you may have missed one or more of my posts this week so here they all are:
Monday:
The Five Figure “Coin Pusher” Marketing Strategy
I enjoyed a successful promotion of my Inbox Rockstar membership on Saturday – the first time I’ve promoted it to an audience other than my own subscribers. The market has spoken and it’s a product that will go down a storm when I roll it out properly over the forthcoming weeks. Not only did I acquire many new members from this promotion but I’ve also been inundated with requests by other marketers who want to promote it and interview me! I liken this to the “coin pusher” games you see in the arcade – you need just one coin to fall in the right place to tip a whole bunch of others over the edge. I am looking forward to see how far I can take this new membership!
Tuesday:
No Holiday For You, Dear Subscriber
My writing was still stuck in “holiday mode” and here I give a timely reminder that just because your or your subscribers are taking a well-earned break, it doesn’t mean you should ease up on your marketing! A popular travel website published the results of a survey which revealed as many as one in five people check their emails while on holiday. It’s a good enough reason for me to keep pumping them out… aside from the fact I really enjoy writing them! Your competitors may shut down over the summer but that just means there’s a bigger opportunity for you!
Wednesday:
As a dad, it”s my job to take Thomas to bed every night and it gives me the chance to read him a story to send him off to sleep. I’ve read hundreds so far – all the classics like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Three Little Pigs etc. the entire boxset of the Mr Men and many more. Believe it all not, these books are an absolute goldmine for email marketing content and I’m glad I’ve got years of reading to him yet otherwise I’d have to think up an excuse why I was reading children’s books! This particular post was inspired by Kira The Koala, a thoroughly enjoyable story about the joys of eucalyptus leaves… and a wider tale of learning, obviously.
Thursday:
I try to keep up to date with a few marketing blogs and it’s great when you read some content you can easily write about yourself. Seth Godin’s blog earlier this week was one such occasion. Seth has been updating his blog several times a day recently with short brain farts of sweet-smelling information. I was inspired by Seth’s post about seven marketing sins but only needed to write about one of them to create this email. Read the post to find out which one!
Friday:
Use “Ambush Marketing” To Catch Your Competitors With Their Pants Down
I’ve been enjoying Euro 2012 this past week – I often joke it’s the tournament the World Cup wishes it could be. But, I’m not joking… One match that generated a lot of media attention was Denmark vs Portugal after Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner revealed his unofficially sponsored underwear after scoring a goal. The practice known as “ambush marketing” is becoming common in huge sporting events and Olympic organisers are wetting themselves with worry about what’s going to happen during the games this summer. In this post I suggest how you can “ambush” your own subscribers for fun and profit!
Have a great weekend!
