Mo Farah’s Guide To Internet Marketing Gold

If you’ve been following the Olympics as avidly as me…

You will have no doubt seen Mo Farah’s stunning 10,000 metre victory for Great Britain a few days ago.

Whether you’re into sports or not, there’s a lot you can learn from Olympian’s to succeed as an Internet Marketer.

Like this:

1. Set Your Goal

Internet Marketers and Olympians are very similar…

In that both set themselves a target and work backwards.

So, whether it’s earning enough money online to quit your day job or winning a gold medal…

Have a clear, focused target in mind.

Which then leads to…

2. Work Out Your Master Plan

Mo didn’t just show up on the day of the 10,000 metres and take his chances…

His plan was to win the race in the last 100 metres.

And he did.

But, he’d been working towards this plan for at least a year before the race happened.

Just like an Olympic athlete, work out an overall Internet Marketing plan for the YEAR.

Then, work backwards and break down that overall plan into a series of mini action plans.

Start with an action plan for month one…

Then break that down into weekly plans…

Then break those down into daily plans…

Then work out the individual tasks for each day.

3. Get To Work!

Mo ran a gruelling 120 miles a week in preparation for one 10,000 metre race.

There would have been days when he felt tired…

Felt unwell…

Or just plain didn’t feel like it.

But, that kind of titanic effort is required for the ultimate success…

And it’s why not “anybody” can win an Olympic gold.

I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve put into learning marketing and honing my own email marketing techniques…

But what I can assure you is success doesn’t happen overnight.

4. Deliver On The Day

Mo had been built up by the British press for months as the nation’s long-distance hope.

Lesser, more unprepared athletes would have buckled under the pressure.

But months, weeks, day and hours worth of planning, preparation and training meant he delivered when it mattered the most.

Highly converting sales copy, email marketing campaigns and excellent products are not cobbled together in a matter of minutes…

They take time to get right but when you put in the time and effort, success can almost be guaranteed come launch day.

5. Get A Coach

Even world-class athletes like Mo don’t succeed all by themselves.

He moved his family to the other side of the world from London to Oregon to train with his coach, Alberto Salazar.

A coach gives you that much needed second opinion…

To help you identify what is working and indeed what needs more work.

The result?

A faster route to success!

If you’ll allow me to be your coach…

You won’t need to travel to the other side of the world because we can use the power and convenience of the Internet!

On Friday 24 August, I’m launching a live, four-week coaching program…

And I’d love to coach and motivate you to help get you over the finishing line first!

Your blog posts outlines my exact thoughts the whole time while I have been watching the Olympics.

Start from that end goal, that dream and do exactly what it takes to get there.

    On target analogy David!

Coaches and mentors shine a light on the path for the person who has a huge desire for a specific goal. Focus, dedication and perseverance, having a coach, as you point out, are key to achieving the goal.

Looking forward to reading more about your program.
