Is It Worth Building A List?

I was hunting around for some inspiration for today’s post…

So headed over to the Warrior Forum where there’s always an abundance of lost souls in need of marketing guidance!

It took roughly two seconds to find one, who asked the very question I’ve used as today’s title:

Is it worth building a list?

Short answer is YES…

Said repeatedly with the same gusto as Meg Ryan in that scene from When Harry Met Sally.

Yes! Yess! YESSS!

Sorry, couldn’t help myself there.

As an Internet Marketer, your primary focus should be building your list…

Getting as many new people to opt-in as you possibly can and then turn as many of them as you possibly can into paying customers.

Doing business online doesn’t get much simpler than this…

But Internet Marketing, being the industry that it is, always puts other “stuff” in front of your eyeballs, distracting you from what’s really important.

List Building (just in case you’d forgotten already!)

The key to making money online, in whatever niche, is through developing a close relationship with your customers…

The best way to do that is by emailing them.

Personally, I think every day is best.

And, when you have a large number of one people in one place, like on a list…

You have your very own “traffic tap” you can switch on whenever you feel like it!

Very powerful stuff.

Of course, your could just post to your blog every day…

But you can’t guarantee your customers will read it.

Sending content by email is more “in your face” and gets results.

So, if you’re ready to focus on what works and want to build a huge, responsive subscriber list…

I just signed up from an ad swap you apparently did with another marketer whose list I’m on -hey proof right there adswapping works- and I’m glad I found you as list building is something I have taken seriously this year..

In fact it is to a point where I kinda want to give up blogging and just do traffic to squeeze pages with good sales funnels including those all important followups. Although I do gain sales from my blog from search engine traffic, it is not as great as what I achieve from sending emails and my lists aren’t even that big!

In your sales letter you mentioned how you stopped giving away so much value for free, man if the bloggers I know would have heard you say that they’d report you to the FBI(federal bureau of internetmarketers :) ) BUT I totally understand what you meant by that because I want to make money now instead of waiting 10 to 18 months down the line finally for a return on work I did today.

    List building rules!

Brilliant David thanks I have just downloaded your free report.

I’m just starting out with list building and I’m finding it a slow process.

Also one of the most difficult things I find is writing follow up emails and keeping them interesting.

    Thanks again :)
