I used to love Digg.com back in the day…
It was a free ticket to getting new blog posts indexed in super-fast time when I was coining it in with the soccer niche.
I have a lot to thank it’s founder, Kevin Rose, for!
However, Digg has been on the slide for years.
Being able to “game” the way news stories appear on the front page proved to be its downfall and the site was tinkered with many times to try and change the way the voting worked.
Digg still gets a reported 16 million unique visitors per month…
But that wasn’t enough for it to be sold any higher than $500,000 last week.
I’d love for one of my outdated websites to command a cool half million as I am sure you would…
But that amount is an online kick in the teeth considering Digg was once linked with a $200 million takeover by Google just a few years ago.
It just proves us Internet Marketers are living on a knife-edge.
Fashions, fads and trends change so quickly…
What works today may not be profitable tomorrow.
I know that to be true more than most.
If you are building your business around the latest and greatest darling of the online world…
You need to act fast, smart, take the money and…
RUN!
Personally, I can’t be bothered with all that “trying to stay ahead of the game” nonsense any more.
I’ll leave that to the upstarts who know it all.
Sure, one or two of them may strike it lucky… and good for them.
But, I’d rather build a robust, long-term business that will still be thriving long after the social media house of cards comes crashing down.
Email marketing is the backbone of my business and it probably always will be…
In some shape or form, anyhow.
If you want to join me, register as an Inbox Rockstar member and download a minimum of 20 “fill in the blanks” email marketing templates every month to promote any product in any niche.
Unlike other marketers who specialise in shovels…
I am placing the gold right into your hands.
